TL;DR
Senior Accountant (Bitcoin Mining and HPC): Supporting month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and internal controls for AI, HPC infrastructure, and digital asset mining operations with an accent on U.S. GAAP, SOX compliance, and infrastructure-related accounting. Focus on analyzing financial results, coordinating audits, and improving ERP, reporting, and accounting automation processes.
Location: Miami, FL, United States. This is an onsite professional office role with occasional travel. Working hours are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with some nights and weekends possible.

What you will do
- Own month-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations for accruals, prepaid expenses, and intercompany accounts.
- Analyze financial results, investigate variances and trends, and prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, disclosures, and supporting schedules.
- Support SOX control testing, documentation, internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with external auditors and maintain audit support documentation.
- Partner with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Procurement, and operational teams to improve reporting accuracy.
- Support accounting for power and energy contracts, fixed assets, infrastructure transactions, restricted cash, escrow arrangements, and ERP optimization projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA certification or progress toward CPA is preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public-company or multi-entity environments.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, tax regulations, and corporate compliance.
- Experience with accounting software such as BlackLine, Workiva, or NetSuite, plus ERP implementations or upgrades.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and formulas.
- Experience in audit or financial analysis, with strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and independent work skills.
