Qualitative UX Researcher (Healthcare)

Location: Remote, USA. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require current or future visa sponsorship. Preference is given to candidates located near an existing hirify.global clinic.

Salary: $110,000–$125,000 USD base salary, depending on experience and geographic location.

What you will do

• Establish a repeatable qualitative research cadence covering intake, prioritization, study design, fieldwork, synthesis, and readouts.
• Build participant outreach channels and reusable research tools, including interview guides, consent materials, recruitment paths, and a lightweight repository.
• Lead generative research into patient goals, decisions, concerns, and experiences across commitment, preparation, scan day, results, and return.
• Design and moderate interviews, contextual research, and other discovery methods for sensitive healthcare decisions.
• Synthesize findings into personas, opportunity areas, journey frameworks, decision maps, and prioritized insights for product and design teams.
• Partner with Design, Product, clinics, operations, and quantitative UX research to turn insights into roadmap and experience decisions.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on qualitative or UX research experience in a product, service, or applied research setting.
• End-to-end ownership of generative studies, including planning, recruitment, moderation, synthesis, and storytelling.
• Experience building or testing recruitment and participant outreach channels.
• Experience improving research practices such as cadence, guides, recruitment, or a lightweight repository through cross-functional collaboration.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring employer visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Research experience with patients, caregivers, or clinicians in HIPAA-aware settings.
• Practical familiarity with IRB or similar review processes.
• Experience studying how people understand health goals or clinical results.
