Software Engineering Interns (AI/Healthcare)

Location: Mountain View, California, United States. Work arrangement: On-site.

Estimated compensation: $40–$60 per hour.

What you will do

• Design, build, test, and ship software across frontend, backend, mobile, or infrastructure.
• Develop AI-powered experiences using LLMs and machine learning technologies.
• Build APIs and services for clinical, administrative, and billing workflows.
• Create user experiences for clinicians, administrators, and patients.
• Improve the reliability, scalability, performance, observability, and monitoring of production services.
• Collaborate with product, design, data/ML, infrastructure, and clinical teams through design discussions, code reviews, and debugging.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Expected graduation in 2028.
• Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with Python, TypeScript, Dart, Swift, Kotlin, Flutter, React, and native mobile platforms.
• Exposure to PostgreSQL, Redis, cloud object storage, Kubernetes, containers, distributed queues, and data processing pipelines.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, communication, and technology-learning skills.

Nice to have

• Previous software engineering internship or research experience.
• Personal, academic, or open-source projects.
• Experience building and shipping software used by others.
• Interest in AI/ML or healthcare technology.
• Experience taking initiative and owning projects from start to finish.
