Software Engineering Intern (AI)

Location: On-site in the San Francisco (Potrero) office, five days per week. Relocation support is provided through reimbursements.

What you will do

• Design and build end-to-end features for AI-powered clinical systems.
• Contribute to agentic LLM workflows, including retrieval pipelines, structured tool use, and chained LLM calls.
• Fix user-facing bugs and improve backend and frontend systems.
• Evaluate accuracy, robustness, and clinical reliability through evaluation frameworks.
• Prototype with new models, prompting techniques, LangChain, LlamaIndex, and other orchestration tools.
• Collaborate with design, product, machine learning, and infrastructure teams to ship customer-facing features.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong interest in pursuing a full-time software engineering role in 2027.
• Practical use of AI tools for writing, debugging, and learning, with the ability to verify their output.
• Curious, adaptable, proactive, and collaborative approach to work.
• Willingness to work from the San Francisco office five days per week.
