Relay Engineer - Engineering Services Intern (Summer 2027)

What you will do

• Support staff engineers with electrical calculations and coordination studies.
• Perform short circuit studies for transmission and distribution systems.
• Help design relay logic and develop protective relaying settings.
• Produce detailed engineering documentation in accordance with AES Ohio and industry standards, including IEEE and NERC requirements.
• Complete additional engineering assignments under supervisor direction.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a four-year degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Sophomore standing or higher is preferred.
• Strong academic performance, attention to detail, and organizational skills are valued.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is preferred.
