TL;DR
Equity Compensation Consultant (Financial Services): Supporting employee shareholders through education, financial wellness conversations, equity-plan guidance, and transaction servicing with an accent on RSUs, stock options, tax implications, and regulatory compliance. Focus on explaining complex compensation plans, resolving participant inquiries, identifying broader financial planning needs, and building consultative client relationships during 8am–8pm EST shifts.

Location: Remote - Nationwide within the United States. Candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. Core business hours are 8am–8pm EST, with shifts scheduled within that window.

Base salary: $59,700–$84,300 per year, with potential bonus participation.

What you will do

  • Serve as the primary contact for employee shareholders through inbound calls and proactive follow-up.
  • Educate participants on RSUs, NSOs, ISOs, PSUs, SARs, ESPPs, vesting, taxation, exercises, sales, and enrollment.
  • Conduct financial wellness conversations and connect equity benefits with broader financial planning goals.
  • Support account setup, ESPP enrollment, stock option exercises, restricted stock transactions, trade execution, and account servicing.
  • Coordinate with internal partners to resolve inquiries, maintain accurate records, and meet FINRA, SEC, and quality standards.
  • Identify engagement and business-growth opportunities while mentoring peers and contributing to continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and professional experience.
  • FINRA Series 7, Series 63, and Series 65 or Series 66 licenses required.
  • FINRA fingerprinting required.
  • One to two years of experience in equity compensation, stock plan administration, financial services, wealth management, brokerage operations, or a related client-facing role.
  • Certified Equity Professional Level 1 required or must be obtained within six to twelve months of hire.
  • Strong knowledge of equity compensation, participant-level tax implications, financial wellness, CRM systems, stock plan platforms, communication, and regulatory compliance.

Nice to have

  • MBA or another advanced degree.
  • Experience with publicly traded company equity programs, executive compensation, Rule 144, or Section 16 requirements.
  • Experience in stock plan administration or financial services contact centers.
  • Success in proactive client outreach, consultative financial conversations, and relationship development.
