Investment Planning Intern - Summer 2027 (Electric Power)

What you will do

• Support electric distribution and transmission infrastructure projects, including future-state power-system design.
• Gather, store, and use electrical asset data; create and maintain models with power-flow software such as PSSE and CYME.
• Prepare scopes of work, cost estimates, schedules, project business cases, and financial models.
• Validate project financial data and manage budgets for annual transmission and distribution investment programs.
• Support Management of Change, Asset Governance, root cause analyses, and asset life-cycle planning for critical equipment.
• Attend substation and engineering-site visits, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and propose solutions to electrical-grid challenges.

Requirements

• Academic knowledge applicable to electrical infrastructure, power systems, engineering, finance, or related disciplines.
• Ability to develop technical and analytical solutions for electric-grid and asset-management challenges.
• Ability to collaborate with technicians, engineers, regulatory specialists, finance professionals, and business stakeholders.
• Willingness to participate in site visits to substations and other engineering facilities.
• Must work in Dayton, Ohio, United States.
