Head of Engineering (AI Enablement) (Agentic AI/LLMs): Leading multidisciplinary AI engineering teams and delivering production-grade agentic systems, copilots, workflow agents, decision systems, and automation platforms across a global fashion retailer with an accent on LLM architecture, orchestration, RAG, Azure AI, and enterprise transformation. Focus on scaling secure, observable, cost-efficient AI systems, translating business challenges into high-ROI solutions, and embedding human-in-the-loop operating models across multiple business domains.

What you will do
- Lead, grow, and deploy a multidisciplinary team of Forward Deployed AI Engineers across key business domains.
- Allocate engineering capacity across strategic initiatives and align AI roadmaps with Product, Fashion, Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Care, Procurement, and Technology leaders.
- Establish best practices for agentic systems, AI workflows, LLM integrations, and AI-enabled tooling.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of copilots, workflow agents, decision systems, and automation platforms from discovery through production deployment.
- Provide technical leadership across LLM architectures, agent orchestration, RAG patterns, AI application design, and Azure AI strategy.
- Build scalable operating models for secure, observable, reliable, cost-efficient AI systems and hybrid-human agentic organisations.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading high-performing engineering teams delivering complex, production-grade AI or data-driven systems.
- Strong hands-on expertise in AI/ML, LLMs, or agentic AI, with experience assessing technical quality and guiding solution design.
- Experience taking AI or advanced technology solutions from concept and prototype through scalable production deployment.
- Strong understanding of LLM applications, orchestration, RAG, agentic workflows, and cloud-based delivery environments.
- Experience in cloud-first environments, ideally Microsoft Azure and Azure AI services, or equivalent AWS/GCP platforms.
- Strong stakeholder management, roadmap ownership, enterprise transformation, and engineering standards experience in a complex organisation.

- Experience working in a retail environment.
- Experience operating in hybrid leadership roles combining technical depth, delivery ownership, and organisational influence.
