What you will do

• Lead, hire, and mentor the AI Engineering team while fostering a culture of ownership and quality.
• Own the technical architecture of the internal AI platform, including RAG pipelines and conversational interfaces.
• Drive architectural decisions across the AI stack to balance delivery speed with long-term scalability.
• Collaborate with product and commercial teams to translate high-impact AI use cases into engineering plans.
• Establish and enforce engineering standards for code quality, testing, CI/CD, and model evaluation.
• Remain hands-on by contributing to design, code reviews, and critical implementation work.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in a technical leadership role.
• 2+ years of production experience with AI/ML systems, specifically RAG architectures or NLP pipelines.
• Strong backend fundamentals (API design, microservices) and proficiency in Python.
• Experience with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate) and prompt engineering.
• Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Fluent English proficiency required.

• Experience working within regulated environments such as financial services or telecommunications.
