Product Marketing Manager (Photonics)

Location: Milpitas, California, United States; up to 20% travel required

Salary: $130,000–$200,000 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus

What you will do

• Define and communicate product line strategy, roadmaps, requirements, and business cases for new products.
• Forecast product line volumes, revenue, and margins with sales and operations.
• Analyze market segments, applications, customer needs, competition, and market trends.
• Manage the product lifecycle, including product changes, new models, resource priorities, and obsolescence decisions.
• Create messaging and content for advertisements, datasheets, trade shows, websites, public relations, newsletters, and other collateral.
• Support sales growth by presenting at conferences and assisting with trade shows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or science.
• 5+ years of product marketing or product management experience with technical products.
• Experience with imaging, lasers, photonics, or optics.
• Strong strategic planning, tactical decision-making, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in complex, cross-functional, global environments.
• Candidates generally must reside in a state where MKS is registered to do business; certain positions may require U.S. person status for access to ITAR- or EAR-controlled goods and technologies.
