Patient Account Rep I (Healthcare)

Location: Remote; Nashville, Tennessee preferred but not required

Salary: $19–$22 per hour

What you will do

• Manage account follow-up and collections, including appeals and denial resolution.
• Review explanations of benefits and payer responses to verify accurate reimbursement.
• Analyze accounts and determine appropriate next steps for timely resolution.
• Communicate with payers and reprocess claims when needed.
• Document collection activities accurately while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Requirements

• At least three years of physician billing and collections experience.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer guidelines.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Detail-oriented approach and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
