Medical Assistant - Escondido, CA (40hrs Weekly, PTO and Benefits)

Location: Escondido, California, United States; onsite, 40 hours per week.

Salary: $23.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on geographic location, experience, and skill level.

What you will do

• Support a primary care physician and deliver a high-quality patient and guest experience.
• Escort patients, prepare examination rooms, review medical histories, collect updated health information, and record accurate data.
• Take vital signs, perform blood draws, administer medications and immunizations, bandage wounds, and assist with procedures.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, process test results, and communicate results according to provider instructions.
• Handle scheduling, check-in and check-out, medical record requests, referrals, specialist visits, and other care coordination.
• Participate in patient outreach, care-plan development, and efforts to address gaps in care.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in primary care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant or related program.
• National or state-specific Medical Assistant certification or registration; certification or registration is required where mandated by state law.
• CPR/BLS certification required by the start date.
• Ability to perform both clinical Medical Assistant and medical receptionist duties.

Nice to have

• Phlebotomy experience.
