Senior Fund Accountant, Private Markets

Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada; hybrid

Salary: CAD 72,000–CAD 105,600 per year

What you will do

• Prepare and maintain general ledgers and supporting schedules for real asset funds using Yardi.
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements under IFRS, US GAAP, and ASPE.
• Process capital calls, distributions, NAV calculations, investor reporting, management fees, and carried interest computations.
• Coordinate property-level data, valuations, and performance metrics for fund-level consolidation.
• Reconcile bank accounts, intercompany balances, and investment transactions.
• Support audits and tax processes, improve Yardi workflows, communicate with clients and stakeholders, and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in fund administration or audit.
• Experience with real asset structures, including property, REIT, SPV, JV, or co-investment structures.
• Experience with Yardi or other accounting software.
• CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional accounting designation preferred or in progress.
