What you will do

• Partner with product and engineering teams to build patent products for large-molecule life sciences.
• Develop tools for protein and antibody sequence analysis, biologics claim generation, sequence-listing support, and prior-art searching.
• Work directly with pharmaceutical and biotech customers to design, prototype, and deploy proofs of concept.
• Translate biologics patent challenges into product requirements covering sequence data, CDRs, epitopes, functional claims, variants, and experimental data.
• Lead technical sessions with patent professionals and identify opportunities across emerging biologics modalities.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in biologics patent prosecution, pharmaceutical or biotech IP, or other large-molecule patent work.
• Understanding of the patent lifecycle from invention disclosure through prosecution, grant, and enforcement.
• Strong knowledge of molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, protein and nucleic acid sequences, antibody structure, and biologics development.
• Experience developing claim strategies for antibodies, proteins, nucleic acids, or other biologic modalities.
• Knowledge of written-description, enablement, sequence-listing, and functional-claiming requirements.
• Ability to work autonomously, iterate quickly, handle ambiguity, and contribute directly to product development.

Nice to have

• Patent law firm experience representing pharmaceutical or biotech clients.
• In-house patent counsel experience at a pharmaceutical or biotech company.
• Experience with antibody-drug conjugates, bispecific antibodies, RNA therapeutics, or cell and gene therapies.
• An advanced life sciences degree combined with patent training.
