Payroll Specialist (German Speaker)

Location: Mindelo, Porto, Portugal; hybrid

What you will do

• Process accurate and compliant payroll for EIMEA countries.
• Support internal controls and statutory audits.
• Manage general ledgers and perform account reconciliations.
• Prepare income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other financial reports.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights and recommendations.
• Collaborate with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll-related issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or HR.
• 2–3 years of experience in payroll and general accounting.
• Knowledge of journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and closing activities.
• Experience with complex ERP systems in matrixed organizations; SAP and BlackLine are preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel and other business software.
• Excellent command of English and German is required.
