R2R FA Team Leader (SAP-FI)

Location: Hybrid role in Portugal, Lisboa/Amadora; remote work is permitted within Portugal only.

What you will do

• Lead and develop a team of accounting experts through coaching, guidance, and continuous feedback.
• Manage accounting issues, analyze errors, and ensure timely and accurate month-end closing under IFRS and local GAAP.
• Oversee S/4HANA month-end activities in Smart Close, fixed assets processes, account reconciliations in BlackLine, and general ledger activities.
• Build effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and act as the primary contact for accounting issues.
• Drive continuous improvement, finance transformation, process standardization, and automation initiatives.
• Oversee internal controls, support internal and external audits, and implement and document new procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience with fixed assets and general ledger accounting.
• At least 3 years of team leadership experience.
• More than 5 years of SAP-FI experience.
• Communicative Portuguese and fluent English are required.
