Senior Security Engineer - Sec Ops

Location: New Jersey, United States

Salary: $93,016–$148,584 annual base pay in New Jersey; eligible for an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Lead the design, architecture, delivery, and operation of security platforms and services at production scale.
• Own Terraform Infrastructure as Code standards and GitHub Actions CI/CD practices for reliable, secure, repeatable deployments.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and secure engineering guidance.
• Integrate, tune, and manage the lifecycle of SIEM, EDR, DLP, PAM, WAF, SOAR, and vulnerability management tools.
• Partner with Incident Response, Threat Engineering, and GRC to turn threats, incidents, and compliance requirements into engineering solutions.
• Lead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, capacity planning, disaster recovery planning, and runbook development.

Requirements

• Significant hands-on experience designing and operating cloud-native security platforms at production scale.
• Security architecture experience in AWS or OCI/Aliyun, including multi-account environments and cross-region or China-region considerations.
• Advanced Terraform and Infrastructure as Code expertise, including setting team standards and patterns.
• Experience designing and maintaining secure, reliable CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions.
• Advanced scripting and software development skills, including Python and production services such as APIs and cron jobs on Kubernetes or EKS.
• Experience leading technical decisions, mentoring engineers, and working with Agile or DevOps frameworks.

Nice to have

• Practical experience with AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or spec-driven development.
