Principal Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote anywhere in Poland; listed location: Gdańsk, Poland

Base pay range: 350,100–457,075 PLN per year

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML-powered solutions tailored to customer needs.
• Architect enterprise integrations using Python, JavaScript, APIs, microservices, and related technologies.
• Analyze complex datasets to generate insights and inform product direction.
• Drive AI-augmented workflow automation and improve operational efficiency in customer environments.
• Manage end-to-end production deployment, continuous evaluation, monitoring, and improvement of AI solutions.
• Mentor engineers, communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders, and align solutions with business objectives.

Requirements

• Must be able to work remotely from Poland.
• 10+ years of backend software development experience.
• 5+ years of experience delivering AI/ML solutions in production, including founding or forward-deployed engineering experience in 0-to-1 product development.
• Deep expertise in applied AI/ML, generative AI, LLMs, and agent-based frameworks.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages, with experience in APIs, microservices, and enterprise integration.
• Experience with AI risk assessment, data privacy, GDPR, compliance, complex problem-solving, and cross-functional influence.

Nice to have

• Experience with hirify.global Intelligence, Rovo AI, or AI-powered hirify.global features.
• Familiarity with regulated industries such as finance or healthcare.
• Experience deploying AI solutions to complex production systems at scale.
• Experience mentoring or leading engineering teams.
