Location: Europe-based, with Portugal listed as the role location; fully remote. Being in the UK, Germany, or Sweden is a small plus but not required.

What you will do
- Turn marketplace data into publishable stories about pricing, demand, breeds, names, and buyer preferences.
- Build and manage a group editorial calendar across seven markets and seasonal news hooks.
- Own trust and safety transparency reporting covering blocked listings, intercepted scams, protected buyers, and illegal import patterns.
- Find human-interest stories in breeder reviews, Trustpilot, and support conversations for regional media.
- Act as the press desk and build direct journalist relationships for the group.
- Prepare country leads and founders with talking points, Q&A documents, data appendices, and interview briefings.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in PR, communications, or journalism, preferably in-house.
- Personally landed coverage in national or major regional media and demonstrated ability to build stories from data.
- Comfort with spreadsheets and dashboards for data analysis and number verification.
- Daily active use of AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT for research, drafting, localisation, and workflow automation.
- Native-level English with writing that requires no editing before reaching journalists.
- Ability to operate as a team of one while briefing agencies and freelancers.
Nice to have
- Experience in a reputation-exposed marketplace or a category under regulatory or campaigner scrutiny.
- Experience running consumer surveys with panels or survey tools.
- Digital PR experience, including earned links, newsjacking, and syndication.
