PR Manager (UK Remote)

Location: Europe; fully remote. The UK, Germany, or Sweden is a small plus for market proximity and occasional travel, but is not required.

What you will do

• Turn marketplace data into publishable stories covering pricing, demand, breeds, names, buyer preferences, and other consumer trends.
• Build and manage a group editorial calendar across seven markets, aligned with seasonal news hooks.
• Own trust and safety transparency reporting, including blocked listings, intercepted scams, protected buyer funds, and illegal import patterns.
• Identify human-interest stories in breeder reviews, Trustpilot feedback, and support conversations for regional media.
• Act as the press desk, building direct journalist relationships and reducing reliance on agencies.
• Brief founders and country leads with talking points, Q&A materials, data appendices, and interview preparation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in PR, communications, or journalism, preferably in-house.
• Personally secured coverage in national or major regional media and demonstrated ability to build stories from data.
• Comfort with spreadsheets and dashboards, including independently checking and validating figures.
• Daily active use of AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT for research, drafting, localisation, and workflow automation.
• Native-level English with writing that requires no editing before publication.
• Ability to operate as a team of one while briefing and managing agencies and freelancers.

Nice to have

• Experience in a reputation-sensitive marketplace or a category facing regulatory or campaigner scrutiny.
• Experience running consumer surveys with panels or survey tools.
• Knowledge of digital PR fundamentals, including earned links, newsjacking, and syndication.
