Lead Frontend Developer (React)

Location: Remote, with the role located in Birmingham, England, United Kingdom

What you will do

• Build and maintain responsive websites, single-page applications, finance calculators, configurators, and ecommerce applications.
• Define and execute frontend development strategy across a range of client projects.
• Work with account directors, creative specialists, business analysts, backend developers, QA testers, scrum masters, and clients.
• Lead Agile delivery through estimation, sprint ceremonies, code reviews, incremental releases, and rapid iteration.
• Use Cursor and other AI tooling to accelerate software delivery, testing, documentation, and workflow improvement.
• Mentor, manage, and develop frontend developers while improving team working practices.

Requirements

• Strong experience with JavaScript or TypeScript, including React and ES6+.
• Experience with Redux, Redux Toolkit, Zustand, REST APIs, Sass, Styled Components, responsive layouts, and BEM.
• Knowledge of semantic HTML5, browser APIs, accessibility, web performance, and responsive web development.
• Experience with build tools and bundlers such as Webpack, Vite, Rspack, Rsbuild, Rollup, and Module Federation.
• Experience with Git, GitLab, TDD, and testing frameworks such as Jest.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, technical documentation skills, and the ability to create clear prompts for AI tools; experience managing and mentoring developers.
