Network Security Automation Engineer

Location: Porto, Portugal; hybrid work with 3 days on-site per week

What you will do

• Automate network security and management workflows using Python, Bash/Shell, Ansible, YAML, JSON, and Jinja2.
• Develop integrations with Netconf, Restconf, gNMI, gNOI, and vendor-specific REST APIs.
• Build and maintain CI/CD automation using Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI, and GitHub Actions.
• Implement monitoring and observability with SNMP, NetFlow/sFlow, GraphQL, streaming telemetry, and log analysis.
• Administer Red Hat Linux systems, including configuration, performance tuning, scripting, and automation integration.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in network automation.
• Strong proficiency in Python, including Netmiko, NAPALM, PyEZ, and Nornir.
• Experience with Bash/Shell scripting, YAML/JSON, Ansible, Jinja2, Git, and CI/CD tools.
• Knowledge of network management protocols, interfaces, monitoring, and observability technologies.
• Experience with Linux system administration, particularly Red Hat Linux.
• Fluent English at B2 level; candidates must already be based in Portugal and hold Portuguese or EU citizenship or a valid work permit.
