Junior Security & Infrastructure Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid work model in one of the offices in Lisbon, Porto, Coimbra, Guarda, or Covilhã, Portugal

What you will do

• Support the operation, administration, troubleshooting, hardening, patching, and vulnerability remediation of Windows, Linux, and enterprise infrastructure.
• Perform structured troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, incident investigation, and resolution across infrastructure layers.
• Support the implementation, configuration, and validation of network and security technologies, including NDR, email security, EDR/XDR, firewalls, WAFs, and load balancers.
• Manage TLS/SSL certificate lifecycle activities and troubleshoot certificate, connectivity, and application issues.
• Participate in infrastructure and cybersecurity projects, coordinate with customers and stakeholders, and track technical activities, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Communicate technical issues and solutions while progressively taking ownership of technical work packages and customer-facing activities.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in security, infrastructure, or a related technical field.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or a similar field is preferred.
• Practical knowledge of Windows Server, Linux systems, networking fundamentals, and cybersecurity principles.
• Ability to perform structured technical troubleshooting and problem analysis.
• Basic scripting or automation knowledge using PowerShell, Bash, and/or Python is desirable.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English proficiency at B2 level or above are required.
