Associate Business Analyst (Data)

Location: Office-based in Crewe, United Kingdom, Monday to Friday

What you will do

• Build relationships with stakeholders to understand business challenges, priorities, and opportunities.
• Gather, analyse, and document requirements for data, reporting, and analytics initiatives.
• Produce process maps, user stories, business rules, and acceptance criteria.
• Support impact assessments, gap analysis, root-cause investigations, solution testing, and validation.
• Work with Data Analysts, Data Engineers, Delivery Managers, and other technical teams to support successful delivery.
• Promote the adoption and effective use of reporting, analytics, and self-service solutions.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Business Analyst, Junior Business Analyst, Associate Business Analyst, or in a similar requirements-focused role.
• Experience engaging stakeholders and facilitating discussions to gather and refine business requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to challenge assumptions and identify root causes.
• Experience documenting requirements, process flows, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Working knowledge of SQL for interrogating and validating data.
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar, plus strong communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience in data, reporting, analytics, or business intelligence environments.
• Experience partnering with Data Analysts, Data Engineers, or reporting teams.
• Exposure to product ownership, demand management, or business partnering.
