Senior Data Scientist (Retail Analytics)

Location: Warsaw, Poland

Salary: PLN 154,000–PLN 204,000 per year

What you will do

• Define and execute analyses supporting innovation initiatives, methodologies, standards, and KPIs.
• Prototype solutions and support R&D pilot programs involving trend analysis, sampling, bias reduction, indirect estimation, data integration, automation, and generalization.
• Develop scalable data processing applications using test-driven development.
• Document new methodologies and best practices.
• Collaborate with Developers, Data Scientists, Operations teams, and project stakeholders on scope, data exchange, execution, and outcomes.
• Contribute to multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python, including Pandas, Polars, NumPy, and Scikit-Learn.
• Familiarity with the Python standard library, especially unittest and argparse.
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Social Science, Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Science, Biology, Physics, or another hard-science discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with trend analysis, multivariate statistics, sampling, optimization, bias reduction, indirect estimation, data aggregation, automation, and generalization.
• Strong data visualization skills and the ability to create clear charts and graphs.
