Lead Full Stack Engineer (Java+Angular)

Location: Bulgaria, Poland, or Romania; remote/office work

What you will do

• Develop and maintain full-stack web applications, including responsive user interfaces, consumed APIs, server-side business logic, and database interactions.
• Design scalable, performant, secure applications with responsive browser and device support.
• Connect front-end and back-end development, ensuring cohesive integration across system components.
• Create technical designs, REST APIs, integration services, data models, Liquibase database scripts, and technical documentation.
• Perform unit, integration, and end-to-end testing; debug issues and prepare defect analysis and remediation reports.
• Deploy and manage cloud applications using CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, and release automation.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of software development experience, including at least 10 years developing Java applications.
• At least 4 years of experience with Angular 7+, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, eUI, and modern build tools.
• Strong experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security, Hibernate, Groovy, Grails, RESTful APIs, and OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, schema design, query optimisation, Git workflows, SVN, AWS or Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and JWT.
• A recognised AWS or Azure certification, or an equivalent certification.
• Very good written and spoken English at B2 level or higher; ability to participate in multilingual meetings.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10, secure SDLC, Agile/Scrum, DevOps, ITIL, EU institutional environments, and public administration processes.
