Automation Manager - Platform Owner (Operational Technology)

Location: Kladno, Czech Republic; hybrid work with an average of 3 days per week in the office. Travel of 20–40 days per year is expected.

What you will do

• Own critical Pre-Pack automation platforms and coordinate their development, standardisation, and scaling.
• Define global roadmaps for automation software and hardware platforms.
• Guide technology decisions and lead software upgrades, validation, and lifecycle management.
• Build reliable, secure, and scalable automation capabilities for manufacturing operations.
• Coordinate priorities and partnerships across Production, Maintenance, R&D, and Operational Technology teams.
• Support manufacturing sites and stakeholders across Europe, Mexico, China, and Vietnam.

Requirements

• Experience with PLC programming, installation, and troubleshooting in complex manufacturing environments.
• Experience managing automation, controls, or operational technology solutions supporting production platforms.
• Experience building industrial network architectures and cyber-secure automation environments.
• Experience leading software upgrades, platform development, or technology implementation initiatives.
• Ability to coordinate work across departments with competing operational priorities.
• Effective English communication in international manufacturing organisations.

Nice to have

• Experience with industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP or OPC UA.
• Experience designing or supporting functional safety systems, electrical diagrams, and troubleshooting activities.
• Experience managing platform ownership across multiple sites or regions.
• Experience working under remote management and maintaining consistent information flow.
