Software Requirements and Test Engineer (Embedded Software): Defining and verifying requirements for high-integrity airborne real-time embedded software with an accent on traceability, verification procedures, and defect resolution. Focus on designing comprehensive test cases, managing problem reports, and supporting architectural decisions across the complete software lifecycle.
Location: Getafe Area, Madrid, Spain; hybrid working model with occasional national and international travel.

What you will do
- Define and document software requirements from system functional specifications.
- Develop software verification test cases and procedures.
- Maintain traceability matrices across specifications and test cases.
- Execute tests, record results, and create and track defect reports through resolution.
- Collaborate with product managers, program managers, system engineers, validation teams, and development teams throughout the software lifecycle.
- Contribute to project planning, architectural decisions, process improvements, and delivery of high-quality software.
Requirements
- Degree in software engineering, IT, telecommunications, industrial engineering, or a related discipline.
- Expertise in real-time or embedded software development, software requirements definition, and software verification.
- More than 3 years of professional experience.
- Fluent English and Spanish are required.
- Ability to take responsibility for design and architectural decisions and lead specific projects.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of DO-178C and EFA software airworthiness certification standards.
- Awareness of cybersecurity concepts and Common Criteria accreditation processes.
- Experience with C, C++, Ada, low-level development, SysML, UML, and software verification tools.
- Experience with GPS, AdaMulti, Eclipse, VectorCast, or AdaTest95.
