Principal STA Engineer (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Own SoC-level signoff static timing analysis, timing ECO delivery, and GLS enablement.
• Drive co-optimization strategies to achieve benchmark PPAS targets and predictable design closure.
• Develop and maintain PPAS and status dashboards using scripting automation.
• Collaborate with RTL Design, Verification, Physical Design, and DFT teams on constraints, optimization, and signoff convergence.
• Rationalize timing margins and analyze design metrics and collateral to identify process improvements.
• Apply IP, library, and flow reuse methodologies while automating STA flows with TCL, Python, and Perl.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of hands-on STA experience, including shift-left strategies for predictable signoff.
• Experience defining and maturing tools and methodologies from a blank slate.
• Expertise in SoC-level MCMM STA, physically aware ECO generation, and GLS support.
• Familiarity with advanced process nodes, DFT timing modes and analysis, and IP integration.
• Strong scripting, analytical, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills.

• Custom silicon delivery experience for automotive, HPC, or AI applications.
• Experience adopting new tools, flows, and design-reuse practices.
