Principal Data Architect (AI)

Location: Bulgaria; hybrid work model. Office locations include Sofia, Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, and Nis.

What you will do

• Analyze customer requirements and define product specifications.
• Develop, document, and present solution designs for cloud infrastructure and services.
• Design and build large-scale, high-performing data solutions, including data warehouses and data lakes.
• Establish data governance frameworks and implement cloud-based analytics solutions.
• Apply machine learning and AI to generate insights from diverse data sources.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, support delivery planning and estimation, and participate in escalation management when timelines or quality are at risk.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of at least one cloud technology, with a focus on databases, data warehouses, and related cloud data technologies.
• Experience with relational and non-relational database technologies and at least one modern data warehousing technology.
• Knowledge of data lake technologies and optimized storage formats.
• Ability to present technical ideas in business-friendly language and communicate with executives about business value.
• Cloud Architect or Data Architect certification.
• Fluent English required. German is an advantage.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Azure.
• German language skills.
