Fraud Risk Strategy Analyst

What you will do

• Analyse fraud patterns and customer behaviours using data to support fraud strategy development.
• Monitor existing fraud rules and identify opportunities to improve performance.
• Support the design, testing, and implementation of new fraud controls.
• Build dashboards, reports, and models to communicate risks and trends.
• Collaborate with Credit Risk, Fraud Operations, and wider stakeholders to reduce fraud losses and protect customers.

Requirements

• Degree in Maths, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a similar numerate subject, or equivalent practical experience.
• Comfort working with data using Excel, SQL, or other tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organisation, and time-management skills.
• Proactive, collaborative approach with an interest in learning and developing in fraud analytics.
• Successful candidates must complete credit, CIFAS, and Right to Work checks; a DBS check may also be required.

Nice to have

• Experience with large datasets or a risk-related environment.
• Interest in financial crime, fraud prevention, or credit risk.
• Familiarity with SAS, R, Python, Power BI, SQL, or Excel.
