What you will do
- Build, implement, and continuously improve the risk management framework for a cross-border e-commerce marketplace.
- Design transaction risk controls, merchant risk mechanisms, settlement risk frameworks, and platform-specific control rules.
- Analyze regulatory policies and industry compliance requirements, adapting risk strategies to merchant operations, settlement cycles, and order fulfilment.
- Identify, assess, monitor, and resolve fraud, sham transactions, non-compliant operations, financial, compliance, and account risks.
- Maintain risk ledgers, monitoring mechanisms, periodic risk reports, and post-mortem reviews while improving risk handling processes.
- Work with business, operations, procurement, technology, settlement, product, engineering, and data science stakeholders on risk standards and business launches.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in risk strategy, fraud prevention, trust and safety, marketplace risk, or decision systems.
- Strong understanding of marketplace or platform ecosystems.
- Experience designing risk decision systems, rule engines, or enforcement logic.
- Familiarity with machine learning and AI concepts applied to risk systems.
- Strong analytical skills using SQL or BI tools for large-scale data analysis.
- Experience working with product, engineering, and data science teams, with strong systems thinking and trade-off management skills.
