Software Engineer - III (Rust)

Location: On-site at the Pune office, India

What you will do

• Design, develop, ship, and maintain software features for storage products.
• Analyze bug reports and implement fixes across multiple platforms.
• Work with the Engineering Manager and geographically distributed engineering teams to understand product requirements.
• Handle software design and delivery for complex system-level features.
• Contribute to and validate product documentation.
• Assist with performance tuning for specific environments and use cases.

Requirements

• 7–15 years of total software development experience.
• BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Software development experience in Linux environments using Rust and Bash scripting.
• Experience with C, C++, or Golang and strong system-level expertise is also considered, with willingness to work with Rust.
• Strong communication, teamwork, self-management, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
• Experience with JIRA, Jenkins, Gerrit, Git, and GitHub is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise-class or HPC storage systems.
• Experience with distributed systems.
