Vision Center Manager L3 (Optical)

Location: Carson City, Nevada, United States; onsite at the Walmart Supercenter

Hourly wage: $38.50–$50.00 per hour, plus possible performance-based bonuses and regional pay zone compensation.

What you will do

• Drive Vision Center sales through merchandise presentation, competitive pricing, inventory availability, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of local customer needs.
• Provide and oversee customer service, resolve complaints, and ensure eyewear recommendations meet customer needs.
• Supervise, hire, train, mentor, assign, recognize, and develop Vision Center Associates.
• Ensure quality eyewear services, including measurements, prescription verification, minor frame repair, confidential record handling, and optical equipment maintenance.
• Maintain compliance with company and legal requirements, safety controls, asset protection, quality assurance, and operational standards.
• Lead community outreach, stakeholder relationships, business initiatives, accountability, and continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

• Completion of two or more years of college, or qualifying combinations of retail, supervisory, general work, and optical experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws and regulations.
• Experience or capability in optical service, customer consultation, prescription verification, and eyewear support.
• Ability to supervise and develop Associates and uphold compliance, ethics, safety, and customer-service standards.
