Senior CNC Machining Engineer

Location: Hattiesburg, Mississippi, United States; onsite machining-floor role

Salary: $89,800–$114,100 per year

What you will do

• Provide hands-on technical expertise in CNC machining, turning, milling, grinding, honing, and broaching.
• Diagnose issues affecting safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Establish and optimize speeds, feeds, tool life, coolant, work-holding, tooling, fixtures, and gauging processes.
• Lead capital and engineering projects from scope and procurement through installation, commissioning, and final acceptance.
• Serve as the plant machining technology subject matter expert and mentor engineers and technicians.
• Drive continuous improvement, cost reduction, waste elimination, and root-cause corrective action.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of manufacturing engineering experience focused on machined components and assemblies.
• Hands-on CNC machining expertise with fluency in G-code and M-code.
• Experience sequencing machining operations to consistently produce quality parts.
• Strong knowledge of tooling, fixtures, gauging, and manufacturing systems.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience leading engineering or capital projects.
• Experience with MasterCAM, GibbsCAM, or similar CAM software.
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or RCCA background.
