Cyber Compliance Intern - Summer 2027 (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Conduct assessments to identify risks in cybersecurity governance and compliance programs.
• Evaluate the technical and business impact and likelihood of security issues, and provide remediation guidance.
• Work with ISO, NIST, CIS, PCI DSS, CMMC, FedRAMP, GDPR, CCPA, and other security and privacy frameworks.
• Contribute to security governance, compliance programs, target operating models, metrics, and reporting.
• Support the development and implementation of eGRC tools and presentations for executive management and boards.
• Collaborate with risk and technology consulting professionals on client engagements.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems Management, Information Security, or a related field.
• Technical background in computer science or a related discipline.
• Working knowledge of business process flows and the ability to communicate technical information to varied audiences.
• Strong integrity, confidentiality, motivation, and adherence to company policies and best practices.
• A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
• Entry-level candidates requiring current or future immigration sponsorship are not eligible.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Microsoft tools, including Excel and OneNote.
• Hands-on or lab experience with servers, firewalls, IDS, and other network infrastructure.
• Experience with security tools such as Nessus and Kali Linux.
• Operating system configuration and security experience with Linux, HP-UX, Solaris, AIX, or similar systems.
• Basic understanding of secure network architecture design.
