Salary: $231,000–$323,500 total cash range in Seattle, with a potential top of range of $369,500; $249,000–$348,500 in San Jose, with a potential top of range of $398,500.

What you will do

• Define the strategy, roadmap, and standards for cloud infrastructure and platform capabilities.
• Lead containerization, Kubernetes/EKS migration, and platform adoption across product teams.
• Contribute production code and infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, Helm, and automation.
• Design resilient and secure infrastructure patterns for microservices, data stores, caching, and messaging.
• Build CI/CD pipelines, release automation, testing strategies, and safe deployment practices.
• Drive SRE, observability, capacity planning, AWS cost optimization, incident response, mentoring, and cross-team technical alignment.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including hands-on work with distributed cloud services.
• Strong experience building and operating AWS platforms, including EKS, ECS, EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, ELB/ALB, and Auto Scaling.
• Deep experience with containerization and Kubernetes at scale, plus Terraform, CloudFormation, and Helm.
• Production programming and platform automation experience with Go, Python, Java, or a similar language.
• Experience with resilience, observability, security, operational automation, CI/CD tooling, and developer workflows.
• Ability to lead cross-team initiatives, influence architecture, communicate effectively, and mentor engineers.

Nice to have

• Platform engineering, SRE, or infrastructure leadership experience at scale.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, OpenTelemetry, Jaeger, service meshes, API gateways, or advanced networking.
• Experience with AWS cost optimization, cloud security and compliance, secrets management, policy as code, or monolith-to-cloud-native migrations.
