Telecom & DevOps Engineer (Junior) (5G/IoT)

Location: Hybrid, with 2–3 days per week working from the Madrid office. Remote work from abroad is available for up to 10 days per year.

What you will do

• Design, develop, deploy, test, support, and maintain telecommunications solutions for 4G/5G, roaming, messaging, and IoT services.
• Test and validate new developments and deploy releases to production and validation environments.
• Automate testing, installation, monitoring, and other operational workflows.
• Monitor service availability and performance, perform maintenance, and respond to incidents.
• Debug software and service issues and participate in an L3 24x7 on-call rotation.
• Analyse business and technical needs and propose effective solutions in an agile environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience as a telecom engineer or in a related role.
• Knowledge of telecommunications protocols such as SS7, LTE, and 5G.
• Hands-on experience with Linux environments, relational databases, SQL, computer networks, and network protocols.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with DevOps concepts and tools, including CI/CD, GitLab, Ansible, and containers.
• Programming or scripting experience with Java, Python, or similar technologies.
• Knowledge of IP, TCP, UDP, HTTP, and related networking protocols.
• Understanding of clustering concepts.
