Associate Director, Strategic Forecasting and Portfolio Analytics (Biotech)

What you will do

• Lead comprehensive long-term forecasting models for global hematology therapeutic areas.
• Coordinate short-term forecasts, budget planning, and the three-year forecasting workstream.
• Develop four-to-ten-year volume forecasts, scenario models, and forecast submissions.
• Analyze sales data, market research, competitive landscapes, external benchmarks, and syndicated datasets.
• Present forecast scenarios and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
• Mentor and manage forecasters, contractors, and offshore resources delivering strategic forecasting projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or business discipline such as decision sciences, finance, analytics, economics, or statistics; postgraduate qualifications are preferred.
• 8–10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry across multiple therapeutic areas.
• At least 5 years of experience leading forecasting or analytics teams in biotech or pharmaceutical organizations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, storytelling, and data visualization skills.
• Experience with Flexicast, Forecast Pro, Decision Suite, @Risk or Monte Carlo simulation tools, Tableau, and QlikSense.
• Experience with Rx, patient claims, pricing, managed markets, epidemiology, sales, and syndicated datasets.

Nice to have

• Experience using Think-Cell for presentations.
• Understanding of machine learning approaches and AI applications in forecasting.
• Entrepreneurial attitude and experience working in a multi-site global environment.
