What you will do

• Design, execute, analyze, and interpret in vitro and ex vivo studies of rare disease mechanisms and therapeutic hypotheses.
• Investigate Thyroid Eye Disease biology, including immune dysregulation, fibroblast activation, tissue remodeling, and inflammatory signaling.
• Integrate experimental results with literature, human genetics, clinical observations, and other data sources to generate mechanistic insights.
• Apply computational and data analysis tools to evaluate datasets and support therapeutic target prioritization.
• Collaborate with disease biologists, computational scientists, translational researchers, academic partners, and external experts.
• Present findings, contribute to target and portfolio reviews, and maintain accurate scientific documentation.

Requirements

• PhD in Immunology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related discipline; alternatively, a master's degree with 2 years of scientific research experience or a bachelor's degree with 4 years of scientific research experience.
• Experience designing and executing cell-based, molecular, and biochemical assays.
• Experience with fibroblast biology, tissue remodeling, fibrosis, stromal cells, extracellular matrix biology, or related disease mechanisms.
• Experience with primary human cells, tissue-derived cultures, organoids, or advanced in vitro disease models.
• Strong data analysis and interpretation skills, including work with complex biological datasets and experimental or computational approaches.
• Ability to communicate scientific concepts clearly and collaborate effectively in matrixed research environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with transcriptomic, proteomic, imaging, or other data-rich approaches.
• Experience integrating omics, human genetics, clinical datasets, and scientific literature.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled scientific tools, computational workflows, image analysis, or advanced data analytics.
