Summer 2027 Intern: Software Engineer II (AI/ML)

Location: Onsite at U.S. Tech Hub locations in Bentonville, Arkansas; Sunnyvale, California; or Bellevue, Washington, based on job profile and business needs.

Hourly wage: $21.00–$40.00 in Bentonville, $25.00–$48.00 in Bellevue, or $27.00–$52.00 in Sunnyvale.

What you will do

• Research, design, and develop software applications, tools, and system enhancements.
• Write and review code affecting millions of customers and members.
• Collaborate with application teams, architects, product managers, and cross-functional engineers.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from discovery through implementation.
• Design monitoring tools and smart alerts, augment instrumentation, and troubleshoot technical problems.
• Deliver software in an agile/Scrum environment using technologies such as Python, JavaScript, React, Node, Java, Spring Boot, Cosmos DB, Docker, and AI/ML.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in an undergraduate program in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
• Graduate between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Have strong programming skills in Python.
• Demonstrate AI fluency and a solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals.
• Have experience implementing machine learning models from scratch or with frameworks, supported by coursework or projects demonstrating applied AI skills.
• Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role.

Nice to have

• Experience with Java or Scala.
• Majoring in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, software development, AI/ML, or a related discipline.
