Summer Associate Internship (Security Workflow Engineer)

Location: Vienna, VA, United States (Hybrid); 820 Follin Ln SE, Vienna, VA 22180. Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Salary: $26.44–$46.88 per hour

What you will do

• Help advance an AI use case from workflow discovery through prototyping, evaluation, and governed implementation.
• Collaborate with security automation engineers, business analysts, process owners, and AI and data partners.
• Develop proofs of concept using prompt engineering and approved AI and data tools.
• Prepare, clean, transform, and analyze structured and unstructured data.
• Integrate AI-generated outputs into Pega or other workflow solutions with source traceability, human validation, audit logging, and exception handling.
• Test, document, measure, and present prototype results, risks, findings, and recommended improvements.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree with an anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or later.
• Studying computer science, cybersecurity, data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, information systems, software engineering, or a related field.
• Foundational understanding of AI, machine learning, or generative AI concepts.
• Programming or scripting experience with Python or a comparable language, plus experience working with data.
• Analytical and problem-solving ability, including breaking ambiguous problems into testable components.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts and work independently and collaboratively in an iterative environment.
