Embedded Software Engineer (EV)

Location: Milford, Michigan, United States; hybrid schedule with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote. Must be able to report to the local office.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement thermal management control and diagnostic algorithms for next-generation electric vehicles.
• Translate functional requirements into control and diagnostic strategies in collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Create and integrate software using MATLAB Simulink models and hand-coded C.
• Develop and modify unit tests and multicomponent tests for thorough software validation.
• Explore new thermal systems and requirements to support controls and software development.
• Travel to domestic and international client sites approximately 10% of the time.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, plus 4 years of relevant experience; or a master's degree plus 2 years of relevant experience.
• At least 2 years of experience with C-language software coding, Simulink, Stateflow, Git, plant modeling, and Python.
• Experience in embedded software and controls development, including hand-coded C.
• Experience compiling ECU-level software builds and developing and testing SIL and HIL systems.
• Experience with Jira and Agile frameworks.
• Must be able to work from and report to the Milford, Michigan office on the required hybrid schedule.
