Senior Software Engineer, Front End (Customer Experience)

Location: Fremont, California, United States; hybrid with 1 day per week in the office. Regular in-person meetings, company events, and occasional domestic travel are required. A driver's license is required for domestic travel.

Salary: $154,000–$187,000 annual California base salary; eligible for an annual performance bonus.

hirify.global is developing electrified rugged SUVs and trucks, including all-electric and range-extender powertrains, while building digital customer experiences for vehicle purchases.

What you will do

• Build and maintain polished, performant frontend features across vehicle trade-in, configuration, finance, leasing, and delivery journeys.
• Translate designs into accurate, accessible UI components and application logic aligned with the shared design system.
• Own features end to end, from scoping and technical design through implementation, testing, monitoring, and production delivery.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and third-party services, handling loading states, errors, and edge cases.
• Improve Core Web Vitals, bundle size, and frontend performance across real-world devices and network conditions.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers through code and design reviews while contributing to the component library and AI-assisted development practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of frontend engineering experience shipping production features end to end.
• Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript, including component patterns, state management, and application architecture.
• Experience with frontend performance fundamentals, WCAG accessibility standards, and accessible component development.
• Experience integrating applications with REST or GraphQL APIs and handling errors, loading states, and edge cases.
• Ability to work from Fremont, California, attend the office weekly, participate in in-person meetings and events, and travel domestically when needed.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with WebGL, GSAP, Framer Motion, or Astro.
• Strong visual attention to detail and the ability to implement designs accurately.
