Web Designer (WordPress)

Location: United States; remote. Application deadline: Thursday, September 17th at 5:00pm Central Time.

Compensation: Up to $80/hour, based on experience.

What you will do

• Design, build, publish, and maintain responsive, on-brand WordPress pages, landing pages, templates, banners, graphics, and campaign content.
• Use Beaver Builder, WordPress block-based tools, and WP Engine staging environments to develop, test, review, and deploy website updates.
• Collaborate with SEO, Product Marketing, content, localization, and development teams on campaigns, product initiatives, and localized website content.
• Optimize CSS, layouts, images, page performance, accessibility, mobile responsiveness, and on-page SEO elements.
• Proofread and quality-check pages across browsers and devices, troubleshoot minor layout issues, and escalate complex technical problems.
• Maintain consistent design components, content structures, and brand standards across global website experiences.

Requirements

• Experience designing, building, and maintaining websites with WordPress or a comparable CMS.
• Hands-on experience with Beaver Builder, WordPress block-based page-building tools, and WP Engine staging, testing, and production environments.
• Strong visual design skills with knowledge of layout, typography, color, branding, responsive design, accessibility, and performance.
• Proficiency with Figma and Sketch; Adobe Creative Cloud familiarity is a plus.
• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS, including troubleshooting and optimization; basic JavaScript knowledge is a plus.
• Understanding of on-page SEO and experience collaborating with SEO, Product Marketing, content, and web teams; strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Culture & Benefits

• Part-time contract engagement for approximately one year.
