Focus on developing scalable code, optimizing loading times and asset handling, and collaborating with frontend/UI and delivery teams.

Location: Remote within Poland; Warszawa

What you will do

  • Build a custom WordPress theme from scratch without page builders.
  • Create reusable, well-structured content components with ACF Pro.
  • Develop custom Gutenberg blocks and implement Figma designs with close attention to detail.
  • Improve website performance through loading-time, caching, and asset-handling optimization.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
  • Collaborate with the frontend/UI and delivery teams.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience with custom WordPress development.
  • Strong PHP skills and knowledge of WordPress coding standards.
  • Practical experience with ACF Pro is required.
  • Good command of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience building custom themes from the ground up.
  • Understanding of performance optimization, SEO fundamentals, and component-based development.

Nice to have

  • Experience developing Gutenberg blocks.
  • Basic DevOps knowledge, including deployments and environments.
  • Experience in banking, fintech, or other regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with AWS or managed hosting.
