SVP, Global Communications

Location: Hybrid in Universal City, California, with a minimum of four days per week in the office

Salary: $260,000–$320,000 annually, plus bonus and long-term incentive eligibility

What you will do

• Shape and execute communications strategies supporting Universal Film’s business priorities, reputation, and long-term growth.
• Lead global media relations for corporate announcements, box office reporting, transactional communications, executive communications, dating, and crisis management.
• Advise senior leadership on high-profile reputational issues and translate business priorities into compelling narratives.
• Position Universal Film leaders through thought leadership, executive visibility, industry events, and strategic engagements.
• Oversee presentations, executive messaging, fact sheets, town halls, leadership events, and other communications materials.
• Build partnerships across production, development, distribution, marketing, franchise management, People Experience, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of communications experience in the media and entertainment field.
• Experience shaping enterprise-level communications strategies and influencing senior executives in highly matrixed organizations.
• Track record of building, leading, and developing high-performing teams.
• Exceptional executive presence, judgment, discretion, relationship-building, written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Established relationships across entertainment, business, and trade media.
• Bachelor’s degree; business, communications, or journalism preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and related applications.
