Senior Revenue Recognition Accountant (SaaS)

Location: Fully remote; listed location is San Francisco, California, USA

Salary: $1–$2 USD base pay range, plus eligibility for a corporate bonus plan

What you will do

• Support the revenue-related month-end close process and help ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.
• Review customer contracts and non-standard terms to support revenue recognition under company policies.
• Prepare and reconcile revenue schedules, including deferred revenue and contract assets and liabilities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within Order-to-Cash processes and assist with SOX audit compliance.
• Collaborate on ad hoc accounting tasks and projects, providing reliable analysis and support.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong foundational knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage timelines in a remote environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice to have

• Experience with SaaS or consumption-based revenue models.
• Familiarity with NetSuite, Zuora, or Salesforce CPQ.
