Solutions Architect (Data & AI)

Location: Remote in Colorado; candidates in other locations may also be considered

Salary: $180,000–$247,500 USD annually, plus potential bonus, equity, and benefits

What you will do

• Lead customer evaluation and adoption of Databricks Data and AI solutions.
• Consult on big data architectures and implement proof of concepts for strategic projects.
• Design data science, machine learning, and cloud-service integrations.
• Build and present reference architectures, technical guides, and demo applications.
• Provide escalated support for critical customer operational issues.
• Evangelize Apache Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, and related open-source projects through developer communities and industry events.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting.
• Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
• Programming and debugging experience with at least one of Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or R.
• Experience building solutions with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with data engineering, data warehousing, or data science and machine learning technologies.
• Comfort communicating technical concepts through presentations, whiteboarding, architecture discussions, and platform demonstrations.

Nice to have

• Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Operations Research.
• Databricks Certification.
