Senior Solutions Architect (Financial Services)

Location: Georgia, Massachusetts, New York, or North Carolina; exceptionally qualified candidates in other East Coast locations may also be considered.

Salary: $219,100–$301,300 USD annually, with potential annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Partner with sales teams to identify how the Databricks platform can solve customer business problems.
• Provide technical leadership as financial services customers evaluate and adopt Databricks.
• Design big data architectures, execute proofs of concept, and validate integrations with cloud services and third-party applications.
• Build and present reference architectures, technical guides, and application demonstrations.
• Promote Apache Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, and Unity Catalog through developer communities, meetups, conferences, and webinars.
• Travel to meet customers within the assigned territory and build trusted-advisor relationships.

Requirements

• 8+ years of customer-facing pre-sales or consulting experience, preferably with big data technologies.
• Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
• Programming and debugging experience with at least one of Python, SQL, Scala, Java, or R.
• Experience with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with data engineering technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
• Undergraduate degree or higher in computer science, applied mathematics, electrical engineering, or a related discipline.

Nice to have

• Experience working with global system integrators, consulting organizations, financial services technology, or financial services data providers.
• Experience with data warehousing technologies such as SQL, OLTP, OLAP, or DSS.
